Good race for Stéphane Richelmi this morning under the sun of his home town, Monte-Carlo. With a recovery of 9 positions from the start, the young driver of the DAMS team crossed the finish line of Race 1 in 9th position, earning valuable points for the season.
An exciting race this morning, started with a crash immediately to the first curve that has created a big gridlock of cars stopped after a few meters. Few drivers have managed to avoid it, including Richelmi who has found a way to escape and he has continued on the track, even if the red flag was inevitable and it has made the stop of the competition. After about 20 minutes, the drivers with not damaged cars are restarted in grid behind the Safety Car. Richelmi has always maintained the Top Ten also after the Pit Stop and for many laps he was placed 8th, with the Pole in Race 2 already in his hands, thanks to the reverse grid. During the last lap unfortunately he lost one position and he finished in 9th place. Race 2 will start tomorrow at 4.10 pm, live on Sky Sports F1.
